Biography:
Born February 5th, 1934 in Mobile, Alaska, U.S. Professional American baseball player who debuted with the Indianapolis Clowns and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on Jan. 13, 1982. He won the batting championship and led his team, the Braves, to a World Series victory in 1956. In 1974, he broke Babe Ruth’s record that stood since 1935. Aaron's batting records also include totals of 755 home runs, 1,477 extra-base hits, and 2,297 runs batted in. He also comes second to Ty Cobb and Pete Rose with 2,174 runs scored and 12,364 times at bat in 3,298 games respectively. His hits (3,771) were similarly exceeded only by those of Ty Cobb and Pete Rose. Aaron's lifetime batting average was 305.
