Greek statesman. Born in 1918, he studied Law and Political Sciences in the University of Athens. First elected Member of Parliament in the list of the Popular Party in 1950, he joined Constantinos Karamanlis when he formed the National Radical Union. He has been appointed Minister in many governments. At the pinnacle of his political career, he became Prime Minister of Greece between May 1980 and October 1981. |
