Biography:
Albertsen was a midfielder with a steady and hard-working pace. This made him the favorite player in every club and gave him the fame of scoring the equalizer. He began in Tyssedal and Odda and later joined Den Haag when he was only 17. He was then transferred to Fevenoord only for a year, going back to Deen Haag before he moved again after a year to Winterslag in Belgium. He gave the national team of Norway a couple of good games. In 1982/83, he was on the move again. This time he went to Greece in order to play for Olympiakos. After three years he returned to Norway in order to play for Rosenborg and then for Trondheim. An injury in 1987 led him to stop playing and he worked in the computer business and did some coaching. He died in March 2003, 45 years old, due to cancer that was diagnosed in late 2002.
