Edílson da Silva Ferreira has played most of his career in his home country. He collected two Brazilian league titles with Palmeiras before being transferred to Benfica in 1994. After his time in Portugal, Edílson returned to Brazil where he played for Corinthians. With that club he won two more league titles in 1998 and 1999 and the FIFA Club World Championship Brazil 2000.
