| Sir Christopher Monck was the second Duke of Albemarle and lived from 14 August 1653 to 6 October 1688. His father was Sir George Monck, the first Duke of Albemarle, his mother was Anne Clarges and his wife was Lady Elizabeth Cavendish. He held many offices and had a lot of distinctions in his lifetime but all of his titles were lost when he died. |
